This dog walk is the most important fundraiser of the year. This is the only SPCA serving an area 3 times the size of Montreal from the South Shore region, off the Island of Montreal, to Sherbrooke and from Sorel to the U.S. border. They are one of the few NO-KILL SPCAs' in Quebec! The SPCA Monterigie provides dogs and cats with shelter, freedom from fear and pain, and all the love that can possibly be given to an animal! Help all the innocent animals who cannot help themselves. Abandoned and abused pets do not ask for much. All they need is another chance, so now is your opportunity to help. Roxy and LuLu was honored to be part of the 3rd Annual "Montreal World Vegan Day Fashion Show" which took place on November 1, 2009 at La Tulipe in Montreal. In collaboration with "CARA" Concordia Animal Rights Association, raising awareness against cruelty to all animals was the goal of this charity fundraiser, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting the SPCA's fight against puppy mills in Quebec.

With the help of all the volunteers who gave their time and services, generous donations and silent auction, a lot of funds were raised to aid the SPCA's battle in helping the souls that don't have a voice to be heard. We can all make a difference one person at a time, when we open our hearts and eyes in how we choose to live our lives. We can not change what we do not aknowledge....but now that we are aware, it is time to speak and take a stand for the those who do not have a voice to speak for themselves.
